The victims include an Uber driver, a Door Dash delivery person, and a couple of people at a park on Thursday, Oct. 22.

The first such incident was reported a little after midnight, at 12:30 a.m. Police responded to the 300 block of Goodrich Street for a report of an armed robbery and attempted carjacking. The victim, a 31-year-old Door Dash driver, said he was delivering food when a group of men approached him. One of them allegedly displayed a firearm, police said, and demanded the victim’s money and car keys. The men did not steal the car, though, because of their fear of the victim’s dog, which was inside the vehicle, police said. They did, however, allegedly steal a bag of food.

About half an hour later, police were alerted to a report of an armed robbery on Dawes Avenue. In this instance a 45-year-old Uber driver was parked in front of a residence when he was approached by two men that were allegedly pointing a firearm at the victim, police said. The men demanded personal belongings as well as the car keys. The men then fled down Treadwell Street in a dark-colored SUV, police said.

Minutes later, Hamden Police responded to the intersection of Goodrich and Newhall streets for a reported carjacking, police said. The victims were parked at Villano Park when they were approached by a group of men. Two of the men allegedly pointed guns at the people in the car. They then allegedly stole the vehicle, a blue Lexus that was last observed traveling south on Winchester Avenue.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to contact the Hamden Police at (203) 230-4000.
